Confessions of a Green (Bargain Hunting) Mom

As a new mom to beautiful triplets (Ella, Erickson and Ryan), I confess that it is a constant challenge to live green and clean, while being practical, efficient and cost-conscious.

But one trick we learned early on was to stock up on basic necessities when items were on sale and buy multiples of everything.  My husband, for instance, learned to bargain-shop at outlets like Last Chance (a Nordstrom's clearance store) for things like onesies, caps, socks, sleepwear and tops.  He got great deals ranging from $2.97 to $3.97 for organic babywear!

Here are a few deals going on right now:

Organic Baby Bibs 2-pack for $9.90

Organic Baby Caps 2-pack for $9.90

Stem Organic Tops and Leggings for $28

So it is possible to be both eco-conscious, fashionable and economical!  Stay posted for more bargain finds...

Welcome

Hello.  Welcome to my blog.  I am a new mom (to triplets no less!) but a long-time natural and organic beauty product junkie and green lifestyle advocate.  I’ve made it my mission to read a lot, ask a ton of questions, stay on top of the latest research, interact with experts, and be on the constant lookout for the cleanest and purest products and services out there.  I hope to bring a little of what I’ve learned to my readers in order to help them and their children live cleaner, healthier lives.

I plan to write about everything I stumble upon—from natural and organic cosmetics and beauty products, baby care products, organic food and healthy recipes to eco-spa treatments, green hotels, travel products and green businesses and services.  I will also feature some movers and shakers in the organic and natural movement, including founders of green companies and others doing inspiring and worthwhile projects.

What I hope to do is to share some useful information that will hopefully help make my readers’ lives cleaner and greener.  As a mom of three, I know that lifestyle changes are most successful when we are able to incorporate them in a practical and efficient manner that makes sense with our own personal circumstances.  Needless to say, I won’t be advocating a one-size-fits-all philosophy.  So I hope you will find ideas and tips that are helpful, useful and that fit in your daily lives.
